A new title has been added to the BFFS National Block Booking Scheme.
The Guernica Children
Eye Witness Productions
In the wake of the bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War, four thousand Basque refugee children were evacuated to Britain: the largest single contingent of refugees ever to arrive in this country. Seventy years on, a remarkable documentary film tells the extraordinary story of the Guernica children and the conflict between humanitarian need and political convenience that ensued.
Stills and a synopsis of the film are available from the BFFS Office on request. This information will shortly be available from the BFFS website.
For more information on the story of the Basque children see www.basquechildren.org
